To our valued customers, it has come to our attention over the past 48hrs that a small portion of our 3” tart shells and 9” pie lids were affected by the large Robin Hood / Ardent Mills flour recall affecting many manufactures across the country.
In late November, we received a bulk shipment from our manufacturer of 3” tart shells which were packaged into 147 units. In March, we received bulk 9” pie lids which were packaged into 47 units.
The affected product above is only a very small portion of the tart shells and lids that we shipped. Out of an abundance of caution we are voluntarily recalling all 3” tart shells shipped from December 1st until April 28th, 2017 - which total approximately 1600 cases and all 9” pie lids shipped from March 15th – April 28th, 2017. We value our relationship with you and safety above all else.
Our 1” tart shell product, 2” tart shell product, 5” tart shell product, and 9” pie crusts were not affected by this flour recall.
Because of the nature of our fundraising system we keep records as to the groups and customers affected by the flour recall. We will be reaching out to them over the next 24-48 hours.
What should you do?
While there have been no confirmed illnesses from this recall, we want parents and families to feel confident in the product they purchase from us.
If you no longer have the product; no action required. If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, call your doctor.
For all affected fundraising customers and families who placed orders online, we will be reaching out to you via email in the next 24-48hrs to communicate return procedure for any unused product.
