Basil

Basil is a culinary herb frequently used in Italian cuisine, as well as southeast Asia. The plant tastes somewhat like anise, with a strong pungent, sweet smell.

Preparation

Use as desired according to taste.

Mom's Pantry Tip

Great to use in spaghetti sauces, pizza sauce. Also sprinkle on hot tomato soup for a little more flavour!
