Green split peas, small red beans, yellow split peas, black turtle beans, green whole lentils, light red kidney beans, pot barley, red split lentils, green whole peas, black eye beans, dark red kidney beans, pinto beans, small white beans, chickpeas, baby lima beans.

Soak ½ package of beans in water overnight. Rinse. Combine beans, 2 cans of beef stock, 2 cans of water (10 oz cans), 1 whole onion (fried in butter), bay leaf, 2 tsp. each of basil, dill weed, and oregano. Salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 2 hours. Add 4 cups of tomatoes (stewed).
